Rich Rappaport
PA-C, MMSc

Rich Rappaport founded BeachCare Urgent & Family Medical Center in 2011 with a clear mission: to bring high-quality, accessible, walk-in healthcare to Morehead City and the surrounding Crystal Coast communities that they could count on 7 days a week — without the ER wait or the hassle of scheduling weeks in advance.

As a certified Physician Assistant with a Master of Medical Science (MMSc), Rich brings decades of clinical experience spanning urgent care, family medicine, occupational health and DOT physicals. He has built BeachCare into a community cornerstone — a place where patients are treated with respect, warmth and genuine care.

Rich is a proud member of the Crystal Coast community himself, which is why BeachCare remains locally owned, patient-first and committed to being there whenever you need care — including evenings and weekends.

2011

BeachCare Opens Its Doors

Rich Rappaport PA-C, MMSc opens BeachCare Urgent & Family Medical Center at 5059 Hwy 70 West, Morehead City — bringing walk-in care to the Crystal Coast.

2013

Medicare & Medicaid Certification

BeachCare becomes a certified Medicare and Medicaid provider, opening doors to thousands more Crystal Coast patients regardless of coverage.

2014

Family Medicine Plan Launched

Formal family medicine and chronic disease management programs introduced — transforming BeachCare from urgent-only to a full-service family practice.

2017

DOT Physicals & Occupational Health

Certified DOT physical exams and pre-employment occupational health services added — serving commercial drivers and employers across the Crystal Coast.

2020

Telehealth Platform Launched

In response to growing demand, BeachCare launches HIPAA-secure telehealth services — bringing quality care directly to patients' homes across NC.
